After playing for a meager (in Skyrim time) 12 hours I've realized that the world Bethesda has created is so vast that I could probably create a blog solely covering my play experience and Skyrim related stuff. I've decided I am going to post about it again when I start the main quest line.
I'm going heavy armor/ two-handed and using conjuration (necromancy) to become the Lich King of Skyrim New Northrend. I have been enjoying my play time but first two criticisms, the default UI sucks, it sucks hard, changing weapons and into magic is clunky and breaks game flow horribly, take a lesson from Bioshock guys. (Thank god for modders) The game also has finishing blow animations (which I really think games need to stop), I understand the theory. It is supposed to spice up the game and give you that sense of badassery whenever you land a fatal blow on an opponent. The VATS system in the new Fallout games were downright fatiguing in this way. (A raider's head flying off his shoulders is hilarious, but somewhere around the 50th time it just loses something). Skyrim tries to address the issue by putting in a few different finishers, however my character obviously has a favourite. I took a few screenshots to illustrate this.
The pointy end goes in. |
Till the next post.
