This Week in the Chop: Tats of the Old Republic

This week I only made three photoplastys for cracked. I ended up with two placings. I just discovered Kotaku holds a weekly shop contest. Here is this weeks.

Earlier this week, BioWare co-founder Dr. Greg Zeschuk popped into a tattoo parlor and got that drawn on him, for life. We assume this was preceded by getting his pledge paddle signed and followed by a 3 a.m. stop at the IHOP where he told everyone he loved them and tried to steal a syrup dispenser.
On the eve of Star Wars: The Old Republic's launch, Dr. Z pledged both Sith and Republic. Either that or he wants to let everyone know he's got moderator status on swtor.com. Pressed by Stephen Totilo as to the authenticity of the ink, Zeschuk says he don't play around. So we'll take his word for it.
Still, video games don't last forever, and there's no guarantee how long BioWare's baby will go. In five, 10 years, Dr. Z may get tired of answering "What the hell does that mean," when he's washing his Camaro in a sleeveless T-shirt. So let's give him something he we can be proud of, forever. That's where you guys come in.
They provided me with the source image.

I don't know about most people, but when I think about Bioware my first thought is about one of my favourite RPG's of all time, Jade Empire. My first impulse was to shop on the airplane from the in-between level mini game, but I couldn't find a good source image. I am pleased to say I am happier with my 2nd choice which is to tattoo up Henpecked Hou. This is what I ended up with.

I don't have too much to say about my 2nd entry, I just thought a classic ladyish tattoo was in order. I've only played the first in the Mass Effect series and thought Liara was the best route to take.

Thanks to deviant art users for all kinds of sexualized pin ups of every video game character ever.
When I enter contests I usually do one meme. Depending on the site and mood of the judges if you are the first one to make a meme entry or bring up a meme that's familiar but hasn't made an appearance in awhile it's an easy way to get featured (never going to get you a win though). I thought since it was an arm tattoo I would go with the most infamous arm tattoo meme out there.

But what gives you a shot at winning any pop culturey based photoshop contest, is taking a meme and then going all out with it. So I took the Bowser tattoo and Mass Effected all over it. Next week I'll update everyone on if I placed.

Till the next post.

PS. I couldn't stay away, I ended up posting a double meme.
