Lessons in Liberation - Your Job and You

A couple of days ago, I came to a realization. I was stressed... A lot, and I started to look at the reasons why:

Living Conditions: "I kinda like this house"
Social Life: "I get out enough"
Hobbies: "Tons, no questions there."
Family: "They're all pretty rad."
Work: "..."

It was my employment. I actually realized this while I was sitting at my desk.

(This is an accurate representation, stare at it and try not to get depressed... Wait, I can make this more accurate)

(Much more accurate.)

So, I stood up, walked outside to have a cigarette and essentially had a conversation with myself. It went a lot like:

"You don't have the balls to walk out!"
"Like hell I don't!"
"Prove it!"
"Maybe I will!"

So, I chickened out at first, told my boss that I was unhappy with the changes that were made and how they've bent me over without having the courtesy to buy me dinner first for the better part of a year. He told me to make a decision because he had a business to run.

So, I walked out...

And holy hell did I feel liberated! For reference, here's a brief before and after:

Before:

After:

So now, I'm unemployed. But, a few productive days down and I've basically got a job again. Moral of the story is kids: Quit your job! It's the most responsible thing you can do!
